Replace the T30 bolts with the reusable ARP bolts. Item 255 in the exploded view. Secures both front camshaft solenoid covers to the front of each cylinder head. A total of 10 pieces replaces the TTY bolts on both banks ensuring a leak-free seal and ease of access using a 12 point socket. Virtually eliminates any risk of stripping unlike the T30 heads.
Stronger in tensile and yield strength and more consistent in clamping force. When gaskets are changed at 60,000 miles intervals (100,000 kilometres) you are guaranteed leak-free! Replaces bolts with the part no. N000000002439.
The black oxide gives it its colour and slight corrosion resistance. The appeal of chromoly steel is its astoundingly high tensile and yield strength compared to its counterpart stainless steel. Torque down and tighten to 10 Nm approximately 7.5 Lbs.ft with washers
